The BG2 is an all-tube, fully transformer-balanced variable-mu compressor. It has a front end in the style of a British-modified Altec 436 with a twin 6V6 output amp in the style of a RCA BA6A or Gates.
Made with the exact same components as the MKI and still hand built by Bryce Gonzales, with a few added controls.
5 Attack Times with Compression Off setting. This gives you very fast attack in the FAST setting, 2 and 3 are the old fast and slow settings, 4 is a very slow setting and 5 is extremely slow.
9 Release Times. There now is a very fast release, giving you very aggressive drums and compression and hugging vocals. Also a few extra settings in between.
Side Chain Filters. Bass guitar has been popular with the BG2 and also drum bus or full mix bus. Adding a few side chain filter settings really transforms the BG2, letting subs or low end through without triggering the compression.
Input Impedance, American and British feedback settings are just as the original (600ohm or 150ohm).
